Picking Your Niche
Welcome to the first day of 31 that will change your fortunes forever ("IF" you stick to the plan, and complete every step!)When most people think about creating a bundle of materials to sell, they become overwhelmed.
I mean...
One piece of content... EASY!
But, what about 10,20, or more, mixed in a bag of reports, courses, worksheets, templates, checklists, etc?... Yep, you've got it...
(overwhelm city)
Until Now...
Because, you're about to slide...
Step-by-step through a 31-day mega course for creating your own profitable products. All with the use of private label rights content (with a little help from ChatGPT if you choose)
And it's hands down the easiest, most cost-effective method for creating content FAST!
So, without rambling any further, lets jump in and get the ball rollin'.
Firstly, lets think about who you're going to sell your content to (your niche)
Within this first step are two sub-steps...
- Create a list of potential niches.
- Research these niches to discover the most profitable ones.
Here we go...
Step 1: Create a List of Potential Niches.
(4 hrs)
TIP: Split the four hours into segments: 40 mins then a 20 min break. Or 50 mins and a 10 min break. These breaks are essential for resting the mind, and transforming you into a masterful, efficient, and productive marketer.
If you don't have any potential niches in mind, your first step is to develop a list. Here's how...
(Time To BRAINSTORM Take a BRAIN-dump!)
This is where you think about your own hobbies and challenges.
Empty your head, and list everything you can think of, from losing weight, scuba diving, restoring cars, back pain (and anything else you can think of)
Think about...
- Favourite things to do.
- Biggest problems.
- Tasks you wish were easier.
- Where you spend your disposable income.
- Places you like to go on vacation.
- Things you do while there.
- Favourite reads (books, blogs, magazines, etc.).
- D.I.Y jobs you're good at.
- Things people ask you for advice about.
And any similar topics... list everything you can think of (let those thoughts flow).
NOTE: The idea behind this lesson is to not only find a hungry profitable market, but also to whittle your niche down to reduce the amount of competition.
Discover Niches by Paying Close Attention To The World Around You.
This includes...
- Looking at your friends' and family members' hobbies and challenges.
- Taking note of what's popular on social media.
- Watching/reading the news for ideas.
Next...
Keyword Research
Another great way to gather ideas is by using keyword tools (KW Finder, Jaaxy, Spyfu, or Serpstat), Or anything you're already familiar with. The idea here is to enter a partial search, and see what sort of niche ideas come up.
Here's an example of partial searches to get your juices flowing...
- How to...
- Secrets of...
- Get rid of...
- Naturally
- Tips
- E-books
- Reports
- Step-by-step
- Easy
- Fast
Now for the next step...
Step 2: Research These Niches
(4 hrs)
Now it's time to sift through that HUGE list of potential niches by discovering which ones look the most promising and profitable. To do this you're going to research each niche (or at least those that tickle your fancy), to see if there's a big enough market... and demand for it.
Here's how...
- Search marketplaces for keywords. For example, search "organic coffee" on sites like Amazon.com and Clickbank.com. Look for popular products sold by lots of vendors.
- Run a Google search for keywords. Again, look for loads of websites selling lots of different services and products to the niche. (you don't have to guess at this if you follow the steps).
- Check for niche publications. For example, does your niche have it's own magazine?
- Look at social media. Can you find things like Facebook groups and Reddit sub-reddits on the subject?
- Look offline. Are there stores and companies devoted to the market?
Overview of Today's Task
Brainstorm and research your markets (this is a vital part of all business, so don't skimp on it). Look for smaller sub-markets (niches), that look profitable. For example...
Dog-training is a big market, but "poodle-training" is a sub-market of the whole... and could be a profitable move. Check if it ticks all the boxes above, and if it does...
You WILL make bank!
NOTE: Make sure you organize your research so you don't lose it (IMPORTANT), because you'll be using it tomorrow.
See you then...
